Create an Avatar
avatar Tagged avatar October 8th, 2008To maintain safety and privacy you will not be posting a photo of your self on your blog. Instead, you can create an avatar. An avatar is a created image that you can place on your blog site instead of a personal photo. Once you have uploaded a user avatar to your blog. Go to your dashboard, click on user, and then add blog avatar. When added, this will appear wherever you make a comment on other blogs. Once created, write a post about your avatar and why it represents you. Create a link to the site where you created your avatar.
Visit the sites below and create an avatar. Save your image as either a .gif, .jpeg or .png.
Portrait Illustration Maker: create your avatar using the options available. When completed, right click on the image and click on ’save picture as’. Save to your pictures folder and then follow the instructions below to upload your avatar onto your blog.
Avatarmaker: Similar to above. Follow same directions.
Build your wild self: you can create a fun image using creature body parts. To save your image, give it a name, save as ‘Get a Wild Desktop’, then, right click ’save picture as’ and save it to your picture folder, giving it a file name. Go to your picture folder to access your image and open it up. It will open up in Paintshop Pro. Your Wild Self image will need resizing to an avatar size: Width and Height approx 0.480cm.
